I have nearly two decades of fashion experience under my belt (pun intended!) with a comprehensive understanding of fit, fabrics, body types, garment construction and tailoring. My love and passion for fashion along with my natural ability to see beyond the clothing ultimately brought me to where I am today. I have focused primarily on personal styling, but also have extensive experience in photoshoot and commercial styling as well.
My clients often have an “ah-ha” moment early on in the process when I begin to show them just how easy it is to style their current wardrobes in new ways to elevate their appearance and re-proportion their bodies. In other words, I’ll highlight your assets!
Well, it shouldn’t be this way! With my services you’ll have a new approach to getting ready every day. I’ll help you to navigate your current wardrobe, make suggestions for additions and also help you to pair items together in a way that makes sense for your needs, time and personal style. It’s not simple - but I can promise that in a short time - it’ll save you time, stress and money too!
I was at the peak of my career in the backend of the fashion industry - we're talking material development, design processes, merchandising, manufacturing and just plain getting the merchandise to the sales floor at any number of 100+ retailers that we partnered with. As the VP of Design for a major accessories company, I loved my craft and was busier and more stressed than I ever imagined.
I jumped ship with a big purpose. I wanted to bridge the gap between consumer and retailer in a way that just made so much sense to me. The lack of attention to the actual consumer at the store level at this point and time (and truly to this day) is astonishing. You can shop endlessly at major stores and find zero guidance from someone who actually cares what looks good on you or is really willing to help you find clothing, accessories, etc that make sense for you and your lifestyle.
As a part-time stylist for start-ups I worked with clients to create curated boxes of clothing to be shipped directly to their homes. Through analytics and consumer outreach we were able to hone in on clients needs, expectations and ultimately the perfect style and fit for each client. During this time I worked for a collection based in NYC outfitting women in business through a coordinated collection of designer clothing and accessories. My skills were further streamlined as a master fitter for an 'at your service tailoring service in NYC. Working directly with a tailor and fitting clients help to build my style expertise for my personal clients.
StyleBitts was born. I practiced and learned and did tons of research to get into the minds of different types of consumers, her/his buying habits and her/his relationships with clothing and shopping. I pushed to find the crux of the issue and then evolved that into a niche in a way to service anyone who needed help. I wanted to create a place where having a personal fashion stylist wasn't just for the rich, but for anyone who had a need to cultivate a better relationship with her/his body and wardrobe.
The clothes in their closet that ultimately become the clothes on their body so that they can walk into a room with head turning confidence and a look that wows!
A few years ago I realized that there was a lot of clutter at the store level and even I, myself was struggling to sort through the mess of options. At this time, I was designing and manufacturing accessories and realized that there was a huge disconnect between the retail store and the client. I needed to fill this gap and help other people to sort through this mess! Several years later, I’ve honed my skills and worked with dozens of clients to learn their needs. I’m here to help you navigate this overcrowded world of shopping. You’ll ultimately have more time, energy to get dressed - finally - and the ability to utilize everything in your closet!
